This is Makati's old town centre. By day it's ordinary: two-storey houses and corner sari-sari stores. After dark the doors in between open up into cocktail bars, craft beer spots, rooftops and live music clubs. Part of the fun is hunting them down, from unmarked speakeasy doors to a bar themed on a rabbit hole. The local way is bar-hopping, with young Filipinos and expats drifting from lane to lane.
