An old bodega on a Malasaña side street: dark red front, tiled sign, barrels and dusty bottles inside. It pours vermouth from the tap, the way Madrid does its weekend vermut ritual, and most people order the soft-centred potato tortilla with it. There's a back room reached by ducking under a low hatch below the bar; regulars aim for it. Weekend noon is when it feels most itself.
