Inside walls built in 1622 stand a small chapel and a white lighthouse first lit in 1865, often called the first modern lighthouse on the China coast. The chapel holds frescoes uncovered during 1990s restoration, mixing angels with Chinese motifs. A loop of the ramparts gives you the old town's rooftops on one side and the sea and Cotai's hotel towers on the other.
