South end of Westward Beach Road off Pacific Coast Highway

A few minutes up the cliff-top trail, the Pacific opens on both sides and waves break far below. Between roughly December and April, migrating whales sometimes pass close, though not every time. It is much quieter than central Malibu. Back down, Westward Beach has a long stretch of sand for walking.
