The winding lake in the middle of the park; the Boathouse is on the south shore

The traffic noise drops away and ducks and swans drift past. You can hire a pedalo or rowing boat at the Boathouse, and in summer the Serpentine Lido opens for swimmers. Even a sandwich on a lakeside bench fills half a day.
