Glasshouses, mature trees and extensive grounds make this UNESCO World Heritage botanic garden a half-day outing or longer. Prioritise areas such as the Palm House, Temperate House and Treetop Walkway to reduce backtracking. Closing time changes substantially by season; the palace, pagoda and some other features close from autumn 2026 until spring.
