Around the Regent's Canal lock at Camden; three areas: Camden Lock, the Stables and Hawley Wharf

Walk up the high street past shopfronts with giant boots, dragons and skulls bolted to the walls, and the market spreads out along the canal. The Stables Market, in old horse stables, is a maze of vintage clothes, records and odds and ends, while the canal side is lined with street-food stalls from everywhere. Cyberdog, guarded by giant silver robot statues, is fun even if you only go in for photos. If Portobello is the genteel market, Camden is the loud, scruffy one.
