The lane where a painter lived in one room

During the Korean War the painter Lee Jung-seob squeezed his family into a single room on this lane. The rebuilt thatched house is that one room, and a glance from the doorway takes a minute. Then you stand at that narrow door and his children and crabs look different. Start at the museum up the hill for the paintings and letters, then wander down past workshops and cafes; an hour or two disappears.
