White sand laced with crushed shell turns the shallows an almost neon emerald. The little island of Biyangdo sits right offshore, so every photo frames itself, and at sunset the sun drops beside it. The water stays shallow a long way out, which makes it a favourite for families, and the pine grove behind the sand fills with picnic mats. Walk on to neighbouring Geumneung beach for fewer people.
