The Palm Tower in the middle of the island's trunk; enter from Nakheel Mall and go up to level R after the ticket desk

The palm shape you've only seen on maps is finally laid out for real. From the level-52 deck the trunk runs straight out to sea, villa-lined fronds fan out on either side, and at the far end the pink arch of the Atlantis hotel closes the view. Turn around and the Dubai Marina towers and the coastline carry on. The monorail ends right at Atlantis, so plenty of people make a day of it with the aquarium restaurants or the Aquaventure waterpark.
