Walk into the marble-columned main hall and Máximo, a long-necked titanosaur cast 37 metres long, is craning toward the ceiling; it barely fits in one photo. Upstairs, at the end of the evolution galleries, SUE, the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex ever found, has a room of her own, real bones and teeth the size of bananas. Downstairs there's an ancient Egyptian tomb chamber rebuilt stone by stone, with mummies, and once you add the animal dioramas the day disappears.
