Opened in 1996, it skips the hotel tower and lays out low-rise buildings like a village around a huge saltwater lagoon and pools. Ground-floor rooms put the water a few steps from your door, so you can roll out of bed and straight in. Kayaking and snorkelling happen on site too. The catch: it sits at Mactan's southern end, eating out takes effort, and room service carries a delivery fee.
