Along the Nampo waterfront, vendors in rubber aprons lay out tubs of hagfish, flounder and sea squirts and call you over. In the seagull-winged main hall you choose your fish on the ground floor, and an upstairs restaurant fillets it for you and charges a table fee. Outside, lanes of hagfish grills over charcoal briquettes and grilled-fish joints keep the smoke and briny smell rolling. Go up to the roof for a view across the harbour to Yeongdo Bridge.
