Walk down Gunam-ro from Haeundae station and the street simply turns into sand. At the west end, the pines of Dongbaek Island and the APEC House; at the east end, the three LCT towers spearing the sky, so the backdrop changes whichever way you stroll. In high summer the parasols leave barely a gap, but from autumn to winter it's mostly gulls, dog walkers and the odd busker, and the bay feels twice as wide. Finish the day by walking toward Dongbaek Island at sunset and following the rocky boardwalk round to a view of Gwangan Bridge.
