Freediving means going down on a single breath, so lessons start slowly with equalising and breath control. Intro sessions run about PHP 2,700 in a pool and PHP 3,600 in the ocean, with a coach beside you to 10 m. Certification courses take 2 to 3 days, with PADI Freediver around PHP 18,900 to 22,000. Without bubbles, the water is eerily quiet compared with scuba.
