It's where many visitors stay, so you end up walking it most evenings. A wide pedestrian street runs between department stores, the APM mall and big-brand flagships, and at night the signs light up the paving. St Joseph's Church (the East Church) halfway along is floodlit in gold and draws photographers. The Donghuamen night market famous for scorpion skewers closed in 2016, so don't go looking for it.
