A small bakery by the Singel canal since 1958. Its 'koningsstroopwafel' is a thin waffle bigger than your palm, filled thick with honey or coffee-caramel syrup, and the shop says it stays crisp for days. A few narrow tables at the back let you have one with coffee or hot chocolate. In winter people queue here for oliebollen, Dutch doughnuts.
